Land’s End is one of over 20 locations across the UK and Ireland to host a statue of Paddington Bear as part of a new trail.
Paddington Visits launches in early October ahead of the marmalade-loving bear’s return to the big screen: Paddington in Peru premieres in cinemas on November 8.
Ursine statues will be installed on benches in John O’Groats, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, London and many other towns and cities as part of a publicity campaign by filmmakers StudioCanal.
Each will be meticulously crafted and painted, with Paddington sporting his signature red hat, blue duffel coat and a marmalade sandwich in paw.
Paddington in Peru sees the beloved bear return to the Peruvian jungle, with the Browns and Mrs Bird in tow, to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears. A mysterious disappearance takes them from the Amazon rainforest to the peaks of the Andes.
