A PIECE of land in the Clay Country in Cornwall has sold for above its guide price at auction.
The field of freehold land which includes a former quarry at Biscovellett, near St Austell, has recently been used for horses.
The land covers 6.61 acres (2.67 hectares) and had a guide price of £35,000-plus in an auction held by Clive Emson Auctioneers.
Bidding for the auction went live on September 16 and ended on September 18, with the land selling for £39,000.
The next online auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers, the seventh of eight this year, starts on October 30 and ends on November 1.
