EVERY two years Jessica Pascoe organises a charity extravaganza raising money for causes close to her heart.

The time has arrived for the latest big event and Jessica is going all out to bring in money for three charities.

She will be staging her charity day at Penwithick Social Club near St Austell on Saturday, July 27.

Jessica said: “It's going to be a fun-filled day and everyone is welcome. I am raising money for: The Brain Tumour Charity, which I'm supporting because of my uncle; Combat Stress, for my brother who was blown up in Afghanistan in 2009; and The Veterans Charity, for all my family and friends who have served for their Queen/King and country.

“The day will start at 1pm. Entertainment will come from the Dreckly Boys male voice choir followed by Wicked Lollipops, Redial Destination and Shooter. To finish the evening, we will have the Nightchasers disco.

“There will be a huge raffle and three auctions. Currently I have 85 prizes, all donated by local businesses and family and friends.

“There will be a charity back wax when Christopher Cloke will be having his back waxed to raise money - last time he raised over £450.

“I’ve been arranging and sorting the day since February and everyone has donated everything for free – the stuff to sell and the entertainment

“I have 20 veterans from London coming down to support the day – they’re from the Black Mafia motorcycle club.

“Chris West, who does lots of walks for charity, is walking from Plymouth to Sennen Cove in the week leading up to the charity day. He will be sleeping rough all week and has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money towards the three charities. He will be finishing off at Penwithick Social Club sometime during the day.

“On the day, there will be a pre-loved stall, a tombola stall, a tombola teddy stall, various competitions, kids and adult bingo, and other fun activities.

“A local 12-year-old lad will be selling his homemade jewellery and his mum will be selling her homemade cards.”
