People will be able to watch the launch of Britain’s first space mission later today from Cornwall live.

But all tickets to be at Cornwall Spaceport in person have long since been snapped up.

The Start Me Up mission will be livestreamed on Virgin Orbit's YouTube channel from 21:00 GMT on Monday, January 9.

All tickets for the viewing area at Cornwall Airport Newquay have been taken.

The viewing area, across the runway from the Spaceport hangar, has a big screen, refreshments, toilets and even a silent disco.

A park and ride system from Tregunnel Hill will operate from 6pm for those with tickets.

However, the Spaceport warns "there is no guarantee the launch will take place on the first attempt".
