A Padstow holiday park “took the full brunt” of Storm Henk after the roof of its clubhouse was blown off.

Atlantic Bays Holiday Park in St Merryn suffered the damage on Tuesday, January 2 at about 11.20am.

A spokesperson said: “We got hit really bad.

“The holiday park has taken the full brunt of the storm.

“The clubhouse roof has blown off and landed by the play park and some of the insulation has gone into the road.

“We survived it, and no one has been hurt which is the main thing.

“It is not a total disaster, and the damage will be fixed.

“We also have exciting plans for the holiday park with a new indoor swimming pool as well as a brand new bar and restaurant on the way.”
