A TALK by Dr Catherine Lorigan entitled “Boconnoc – the Paradise of Cornwall” will be given at the next meeting of the St Austell Old Cornwall Society.

The meeting will be held on Monday, October 14, at 7.30pm in White River Community Church in Trinity Street.

At the September meeting of the society, members congratulated Di Trudgeon who has become a bard of the Cornwall Gorsedd.

Members also heard that a plaque commemorating Charles Rashleigh was to be sited in the old cemetery at the top of High Cross Street.

Dr Lesley Trotter, from the Institute of Cornish Studies, gave a talk on “The Cornish Migration”.
