THE harvest season is set to be marked at a popular tourist attraction in Cornwall.
Visitors to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey, will be able to enjoy corn dolly workshops and apple pressing.
The attraction will also be celebrating Hallowe’en with a spooky family trail which finishes with toasted marshmallows at a fire pit.
The annual harvest celebration will run from October 19 to November 3.
A spokesperson said: “It’s more than just an event, it’s an invitation to experience the Cornish harvest up close and personal. The whole family can celebrate the season.
“Visitors can explore the bounty of the estate, from the kitchen garden to the fields and woodland, along the way savouring the smells, the sights and the tastes whilst discovering all that Heligan grows, nurtures and harvests.
“October half-term (October 26 to November 3) will see the return of traditional activities such as corn dolly workshops and apple pressing, offering children (young and old!) the chance to be hands-on and enjoy these harvest projects.
“The full harvest programme will also include a heritage produce display, showcasing the vibrant autumn colours of Heligan from parsnips to peppers, cabbages to chard, pumpkins to pears and everything in between.”
