A new murder-mystery group, Murder by Midnight, has held its first show – at the newly-refurbished Isambard House in Saltash.

A cast of nine put on a well-received debut performance in front of a sell-out crowd.

The plot of A Pharaoh’s Curse centred on the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter.

Encouraged by Saltash Mayor Richard Bickford and town councillor Rachel Bullock, the Murder by Midnight group, led by Kate Gibbons and Adrian Chapman, staged the show to an audience dressed in 1920s or Egyptian-themed attire.

Those attending were tasked with solving the pharaoh’s curse and finding the murderer.

All proceeds from the ticket sales went to the mayor’s charity.

The council aims to continue to host events at Isambard House, breathing new life into the former railway station building, which had been derelict for many years.

Kate and Adrian’s plan is to further develop the newly-formed murder-mystery group in Saltash and the surrounding area.

You can get in touch with them via social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram under the name Murder by Midnight.
