A GROUP that encourages members to enjoy the natural world staged a walk around a Cornish harbour and spotted 21 species of birds.

Connect with Nature chair and founder Rowena Castillo-Nicholls organised the walk at Mevagissey which saw Rob Nicholls, Simon Nicholls, Ryan Goldsworthy, Sam Goldsworthy, Izzy Goldsworthy, Anna Worden, Joanne Hackett, Lynda Burton, Susan Andrewartha and Jonty Hill taking part.

Rowena said: “We had an enjoyable walk around Mevagissey harbour and saw 21 species of birds. We also saw a stunning rainbow twice and the sun even shone on us for a while.”

Previously, Rowena undertook another beach clean at West Portholland, removing plastic bottles, caps and lids, fishing lines and nets, foams and polystyrene, among other items.
