A Newquay GP surgery is planning to apply for a temporary suspension of new patient registrations as it is nearing its limit it can safely operate.

Narrowcliff Surgery plans to request the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board suspend new registrations for the foreseeable future from July 1 due to "the pressure of the increasing population in Newquay.”

The surgery states residents who are not registered, but who might want to, have a reasonable timeframe to do so before the cut off period.

There are plans to co-locate the surgery in a brand new larger building alongside the town’s other surgery, Newquay Health Centre, off Trevenson Road, at Nansledan.
