The Merlin Country Fayre returned to Griggs Country Store in Hewaswater at the weekend.

There was something for everyone at the fundraising event that is organised by the Merlin Support Group.

The packed programme had a whole host of vintage, commercial and agricultural vehicles, while present were a variety of trade and craft stands, including a huge marquee with stalls and a food hall.

Additions such a food stands, a bar, live music, an animals area and children’s play attractions returned, while the main ring provided entertainment for visitors. 

The weekend’s activities also include a gundog competition on both days, while the fun dog show took place on Sunday.

Local radio legend Laurence Reed once again compèred the two-day event, providing commentary for the action in the main arena where a number of different demonstrations taking place, including Cornish wrestling, tractor balancing and sheep herding among many other activities.
