A REHOMING and rehabilitation centre for animals in St Columb is staging a fun dog show to raise funds - and you will be barking mad to miss it.
The RSPCA Venton Animal Centre is organising the fundraiser at Watergate Bay on Saturday, April 20, between 10am and 1.30pm.
There will be various classes including cutest puppy, best beach buddy, top trick, best old salty sea-dog, waggiest tail and most ear-resistible ears.
A spokesperson said: “Due to the ongoing construction of new boarding kennels and the Education Centre at RSPCA Cornwall branch headquarters it has been decided to hold this year’s fundraising events away from the Venton Centre, starting with a fun dog show at Watergate Bay.
“Dogs must be exercised in all weathers as we know so the current incessant rain will help to wash the salt and seaweed out of their coats before, during and after they get to show off their various skills to the audience.
“This should be a fun day for all the family and, if the sun shines, it will be a blessing so we hope to see as many as possible there on the day.”
The registration opens at 9am and it is £2 per category entry donation.
