A Newquay fisherman's stolen lobster pots have been recovered.
Matt King’s four pots were discovered dumped in a hedge at St Columb Major.
The commercial fishing gear was reportedly stolen from the fisherman's driveway at Riverside Crescent on Wednesday, January 8.
A white van was recorded pulling into his property and a person loaded the pots into the vehicle before driving off.
Mr King believes the pots became “too hot to handle” after the theft featured in the Newquay Voice and on social media.
He said: “I’m very pleased the pots have been recovered thanks to the public although it still doesn't detract from the fact it was a broad daylight theft.
“They appeared to wait for people to leave the premises.”
