Fire crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne were called out to rescue a casualty who was trapped in an overturned vehicle in the Lizard's Mount Hermon area on Sunday morning (January 5).
The collision, which took place on the A3083 road from Helston to Lizard at around 9.40am, resulted in the vehicle leaving the road and overturning into a ditch, which left a casualty trapped in the car before being rescued by the fire service.
A spokesperson from the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne attended a call to a vehicle that has left the road, overturned in a ditch with one casualty trapped.
“Crews helped the casualty self extricate from the vehicle and administered first aid. The road was temporarily closed at this location to allow crews safe space for working.
“Firefighters remained with the casualty until the arrival of Ambulance to assess their injuries.
