A WOMAN had to be freed from a car near Roche after the vehicle was involved in a collision with a lorry.

The accident happened at Cleers at around 10.30am on Thursday morning.

Fire and rescue crews from St Austell, Padstow and Bodmin went to the scene and they used stabilising equipment and crash rescue equipment to free the woman who was left in the care of the air ambulance.

The following day, at just before 10am, a crew from Truro put out a vehicle fire between Probus and Tregony.

A Range Rover was well alight and the cause was believed to be accidental.
