Protesters in Falmouth will take to the water on Saturday to call for an end to sewage pollution. Thousands are expected to paddle in coastal waters and rivers in more than 30 locations nationwide as part of an event coordinated by St Agnes campaigners Surfers Against Sewage (SAS). The protest at Gyllyngvase Beach will take place at 10am. SAS chief executive Giles Bristow said: “The public are making it clear that the issue of sewage pollution is at the top of the agenda. Ahead of the election, all parties need to show people genuine and quantifiable commitments to eliminate sewage pollution, or suffer the consequences.”
