The Run Falmouth Half Marathon, which returns on March 16, will be the fourth event in the Cornwall Road Running Grand Prix Race series.

The race, which is already sold out, has been arranged and managed by Cornwall Hospice Care with support from the Falmouth Running Club.

It’s proven to be a very popular event for both seasoned club runners and those wanting to set themselves a personal challenge and/or set themselves a goal to raise money to help fund the Cornish charity.

The event is well supported along the whole route as the communities from Falmouth and the surrounding villages come out to cheer the runners on.

Event HQ is situated at the Princess Pavilion for the third year. Registration and number collection will open between 8.00am-9.30am and the race will start at 10am.

The 13.1 mile route begins just below the Pavilion on Cliff Road, runners will follow the loop around Pendennis Headland and then out on the coast road, past the beautiful beaches of Gyllyngvase and Swanpool and glimpsing Maenporth Beach as it rises to give views over the bay back to Pendennis Castle.

There is a cut-off time of 3 hours and 15 minutes (13:15) to complete Run Falmouth Half Marathon, at this point, marshals will be stood down and the road closure lifted. The organisers will endeavour to ensure all finishers received a medal regardless of their finish time for any runners in this scenario.
