LITTER pickers have cleared a large amount of rubbish from the St Austell area as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.

The St Austell Tidy Up Team has undertaken litter picks and beach cleans, clearing more than 66 bags of rubbish from the environment.

A spokesperson said: “St Austell Tidy Up Team has arranged four community litter picks or beach cleans, as well as members individually or in smaller groups running their own ones around work commitments, all combining to remove a massive amount of litter from the area and helping people love where they live.
