CHAPTERHOUSE Theatre Company is returning to Cornwall for their 2025 Summer tour.
This summer, Cornish residents will have the opportunity to see Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland at Pencarrow House & Gardens and Romeo and Juliet at National Trust Trelissick on Wednesday, July 30.
Theatre under the open sky is the perfect pastime for those long summer evenings, and audiences are welcome to relax with a picnic while they watch the show unfold.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, adapted by Laura Turner: When young Alice tumbles into a fantastical world of talking caterpillars, mad hatters, and evil queens with only the white rabbit to guide her, she must rely on her wits and her sense of adventure if she is to make it through Wonderland and return home.
Filled to the brim with magic, music, and not-so-organised chaos, Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s sparkling adaptation is perfect for all the family.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare: When Romeo and Juliet fall suddenly and desperately in love despite their family’s enmity, the tragedy that follows threatens to destroy everything in its wake.
Shakespeare’s bright and bloody tale of destruction and devotion is here staged against the stunning backdrop of Trelissick, bringing the bard’s beloved tragedy to life in timeless and authentic style.
