THE Porthleven Food Festival returns next month and will be offering a whole menu of culinary delights – from top name chefs to supper clubs, masterclasses, family entertainment, live music, wellness and more.
Presented by acclaimed chef Jude Kereama, the free-to-attend event, which is taking place from May 2 to 4, celebrates Cornwall’s leading food and drink producers and culinary talent from across the UK. The festival also raises awareness of key issues relating to the environment, food culture and sustainable food production.

Visitors to the event can tuck into the culinary celebrations, with the heart of the daytime activity held around the harbourside. The festival offers a foodie experience while helping to stimulate the local economy and better support the town’s community.
The public can delve into the Fisherman’s Mission fish BBQ and explore the street food traders, before stocking-up on local produce in the Food & Farmers market.
Masterclasses will be taking place to help visitors hone their craft or head home with a new skill, having learnt from the experts. Daily sessions range from wine tasting to coffee cupping or how to master the perfect Spritz and make your own masala mix.
A pasty workshop will be held with the legendary Ann’s Pasties in their shop in town, while visitors can also join Naught Nonna, a new food festival supper club.
Live music will be enhancing the atmosphere all weekend in the Shipyard Diner’s Club, while there will be shanties on The Lime Kiln Stage and Evening Sessions. Promising a belly full of laughs is the return of the Comedy Roast, featuring comedy from Suzy Bennett aka Red Ruth and special guest Kernow King.
