A free and for all community draw and exhibition in Camborne is being hosted by Create CIC in aid of St Petrocs’ work with people facing homelessness.

StreetDraw24 Camborne takes place from Friday, September 20, at 2pm and runs across 24 hours. All participants have to do to take part is get drawing, painting, collaging or draw in any other creative ways during the 24 hours either alone, with friends or as part of one of Create CIC’s groups.

Members of the public can drop by Create’s HQ on Chapel Street, Camborne, to pick up a participation pack before the event. It’s not essential to have one to take part, but they do contain a few goodies and some useful information.

Whatever age, whether you are an artist or an amateur, you draw regularly or haven’t drawn since school, this free event could be right up your street and will give aspiring artists the chance to showcase their work to a larger audience.

At the end of the draw, you will be asked to donate some or all of your drawings to Create CIC so that they can show them in an exhibition at their Contemporary Crafts Hub and sell them to help raise funds for homelessness charity St Petrocs’. Donating your work will also make you eligible for one of our many prizes.

All the images in the exhibition, which will provide a visual love letter to Camborne, will be sold at the same price. The exhibition preview evening is on Friday, October 25 and is then open from 10am to 4pm on October 26, 30, 31 and November 1.

Since 2018 there have been 24-hour draws and exhibitions held in Falmouth, Redruth, Camborne and Bodmin and tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for charity.
