The Comedy Club is coming to this year’s St Ives September Festival with three top performers appearing in the same show.

Laura Lexx, Patrick Monahan and Rich Wilson will make up the triple bill at St Ives Theatre on Wednesday, September 24.

Top comedian, actress and writer Laura Lexx, a uniquely gleeful performer who indulges her audience in an unrelenting childish attention, has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Celebrity Mastermind, Roast Battle as well as an array of festivals.

Laura has gigged all over the UK and in Europe as well as providing tour support for Russell Kane.

With a quirky, Somerset spin on the world, she is happy to relax with the audience and take any subject from a frank discussion of her struggles with IBS to the televisual preferences of sleeping bags.

Funny and adorable Irish/Iranian/Teessider Patrick Monahan, winner of ITV’S Show Me The Funny, works the room with his strongly skilled blend of ad lib banter and stand-up.

Other TV credits include Mervyn Bragg’s Travels In Written Britain, Comedy Map of Britain and Comedy Decades and his extremely clean and highly accessible material has earned him a solid footing on the corporate circuit as an after dinner speaker and awards host.

Rich Wilson, Best International Guest at the 2016 New Zealand Comedy Awards, has performed sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Festival.

An extremely in demand writer, Rich Wilson has also contributed on shows for BBC Three, Sky Arts and Channel 4. Rich was nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2024 and Best MC at the 2023 Chortle awards.

Cornish funny man Johnny Cowling will provide another dose of comedy when he appears at St Ives Arts Club on Saturday September 20.

A well-known TV face, Johnny has starred alongside his pals Paddy McGuinness, Rick Stein, Keith Lemon and Robbie Williams and been the warm-up for TV shows including Take Me Out, Britain’s Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, The Chase and more.

Imagine a pinch of Jethro, a spoonful of Tommy Cooper and a hunk of Elvis and standing before you is Johnny Cowling whose topics include the ever-changing face of Cornwall, Cornish family life, holiday-makers and more.
