EMERGENCY services were scrambled following concerns for the welfare of a man at Towan Beach.
Police, Newquay and Padstow Coastguard teams, the ambulance service and RNLI Lifeboats attended the incident on Wednesday, June 5 at 4.30pm.
Officers spoke with the man, and he was taken safely off the beach around 6am. The man in his 20s was taken to Treliske Hospital to be checked over and left in the care of health professionals.
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “We were tasked to assist Devon and Cornwall Police and Newquay RNLI Lifeboats were tasked to immediate readiness.
“All assets were stood down when the incident was safely resolved.”
