Emergency services were scrambled to Perranporth following concerns raised for the welfare of a woman on Tuesday morning.

Newquay and St Agnes Coastguard Rescue Teams, the police, ambulance and St Agnes RNLI Lifeboat attended the incident at Droskyn Point at 8.20am.

The woman in her 20s was located safely by emergency services and has been taken to a place of safety and left in the care of health professionals.

A coastguard spokesman said: “If you see someone in difficulty along the coast dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
