An electric bike rider has been seriously injured after a crash in Pool, near Redruth, on Saturday, January 11.

The incident, which took place near the Morrisons supermarket on the A3047, involved a car and an ebike.

A stretch of Agar Road, between Fore Street and Morrisons, was closed while the emergency services attended to those involved in the crash which occurred just after 5pm. The road was re-opened by 7.50pm.

The rider was taken to hospital after sustaining a serious leg injury which is not considered life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at around 5.05pm on Saturday 11 January following reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and an electric bike on Agar Road, Pool.

“A road closure was put in place. The ebike rider was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury, however it is not considered life-threatening.The road was reopened by 7.50pm.”
