A DRIVER had to be cut free after his car overturned in a three-vehicle collision near Newquay on Thursday night, (November 21).
The road traffic collision happened on the A3058 at Kestle Mill at 10.15pm
Two appliances from Newquay Fire Station attended the incident and used crash rescue equipment to remove the side of the vehicle before removing the trapped driver.
He was left in the care of paramedics. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. Police investigations are ongoing.
Police closed the A3058 whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two crews from Newquay attended a call to a road traffic collision.
“One male was confirmed trapped in a car. Crews used crash rescue equipment to remove the side of the vehicle.
“The casualty was removed from the vehicle and left in the care of paramedics
A police spokesperson added: “Police were called following a three-vehicle collision.
“Fire and ambulance also attended the scene where one car was on its roof.
“The driver was extracted safely and taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or changing.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
