A CYCLIST was injured after being involved in a collision with a car in Newquay.
Russell Sinkevicius, aged 63, received eight fractured ribs and a bruised lung after going over the bonnet of a Volkswagen car on Henver Road on Monday, January 13 at 5.20pm. The vehicle was turning into Godolphin Way when the collision occurred.
The local builder was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a Volkswagen car and a bicycle on Henver Road.
“The cyclist, a man in his 60s, sustained injuries which were not life threatening, or life changing and was taken to hospital for treatment. The car driver was not injured.”
