CREATIVE residents showcased their skills at a new community arts festival held in Newquay.

The Nansledan Arts Festival, which aims to create a more connected community, included an art trail, creative writing, photography, art and craft workshops, spoken word events, talks, poetry and a craft fair.

Liz Hutchinson from Nansledan Arts Festival said: “The festival was a great success.

“Despite the weather forcing the cancellation of outdoor events in the park we had plenty planned indoors.

“Our art trail proved very popular with over 150 exhibits, workshops, as well as music events and the craft fair which were well-attended. A good time was had by all.”
