THE St Ewe Country Fair will be hosting their last event in its present form on Sunday, August 18.
Taking place from 10am to 5pm, the organisers are hoping for the best finale to 30 years of successful shows. The arena will see gun dogs, heavy horses, sheep dogs, birds of prey, vehicle and tractor parades.
Challenges include as a tug of war team and or visitors can help to set a record by taking part in ‘The Greatest Line Dance Ever Seen’ (well in St Ewe at least).
Bacon rolls, pasties, cream teas and more will be served throughout the day with local ales, pimms and prosecco on tap while under the backdrop to live music from Bugle Band and other local artists.
Fun and games for all the family will be present, along with the famous chef’s demo, fun dog show, vintage vehicles, men in sheds, Claudia’s plant stall, trade stands and much more.
The theme for this year’s photographic competition are as follows; Something Black and White, A Moment to Savour, A Show Stopping Portrait, The Highlight of My Year, Old Machinery, A Single Bloom and the children’s theme is New Life.
All profits for the fair go towards local good causes and since the show’s beginning it has raised over £100,000.
