A fundraising campaign has been launched to celebrate 10 years since Newquay’s heritage cottages were renovated and opened to the community.

Trenance Cottages has started a Just Giving campaign to help keep the attraction open for another 10 years. Trustees hope to raise £5,000 whilst the fundraising campaign runs for the next six months.

Jill Willmot, the chair of trustees at Trenance Cottages, said: “The cottages are a huge community hub as most recently seen by the fabulous Trees and Tales Christmas event and light switch on.

“The cottages are entirely run by volunteers who give their time for free, and most events are free to attend for everyone.

“The cottages trustees want to keep this going with some help with a fundraiser supporting a fabulous heritage building, charity and group of people to preserve for another 10 years.

“A little goes a long way for the cottages so if anyone can spare just a few pounds then they can follow the link and donate.

“The anniversary year starts in 2025, and the support of the community would be fabulous.”
