The 23rd annual Cornwall Tourism Awards took place at Truro Cathedral last night.

Gongs presented to 63 recipients in categories covering everything from glamping, camping, hotels and B&Bs to cafes, pubs, restaurants, attractions and experiences.

There were also cross-sector awards for ethical, responsible and sustainable tourism, international tourism, access and inclusivity, and new tourism businesses. 

Special awards included the Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award for the Mylor Sailing School, in recognition of their ongoing leadership and national profile; and the Winner of Winners award for Lydcott Glamping in South-East Cornwall.

Lovat Parks, which has sites across Cornwall, was rewarded for its commitment to regenerative tourism. Paul Russell, from , praised Lovat’s respect for the environment, community, culture and communications.

Gold winners in many categories will now be nominated to represent Cornwall in the national VisitEngland Awards in 2025.

Michael Steel, managing director of Visit Cornwall, said: “It’s inspiring to see so many businesses dedicated to excellence in Cornish tourism. Special congratulations go to the business owners, managers and every single team member whose hard work and passion make these achievements possible.”

Awards organiser Robin Barker added: “It’s always fabulous to celebrate the very best in Cornish tourism - businesses that continue to keep Cornwall at the fore in terms of service, innovation, accessibility and sustainability.”
