THEATRE-GOERS have praised the recent production of The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy performed by Cornwall College St Austell students at the Keay Theatre.

The show, which ran for two nights, showcased the talent of the performing arts learners from the college’s Creative Digital Academy, in partnership with Studio 4.

A spokesperson for the college said: “Audiences were treated to a lively and entertaining portrayal of the iconic characters created by the acclaimed Charles Addams. From Morticia and Gomez to Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and more, the students brought these beloved characters to life with hilarious one-liners, exceptional performances and fantastic choreography.

“The feedback from spectators was overwhelmingly positive. Rachel, a theatre-goer, said, ‘Well done to everyone involved, from performers, choreographers, techs and staff – it was absolutely brilliant’.

“Belinda, another enthusiastic spectator, remarked, ‘It was absolutely brilliant. Hard to believe that these are college students! So professional. Well done to you all’.

“The success of this production highlights the excellence nurtured at the Cornwall College Group and the Creative Digital Academy.

“The collaboration with Studio 4 provided students with an invaluable opportunity to showcase their skills in a professional setting, receiving well-deserved acclaim from the community.
