Cornwall College has confirmed that their campus at St Austell will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, January 9).

The decision comes after the Met Office’s yellow weather warning that has been issued for snow and ice across Cornwall for Thursday.

A spokesperson for Cornwall College St Austell said: “Due to the ongoing yellow and amber weather warning for Cornwall set by the Met Office, our St Austell campus will be closed tomorrow (Thursday 9th January).

“Online learning & working can be accessed through our Moodle portal & Teams. Our first priority is always the safety of all students and staff.”

Cornwall College’s Rosewarne campus in Camborne remains open for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Truro & Penwith College, are also keeping tabs on the weather.

A spokesperson for the college said: “Please note that we are aware of the recent Met Office Amber weather warning for snow and ice across parts of north and east Cornwall.

“We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, particularly with a view to tomorrow morning (09.01.2025). A reminder to all staff and students to travel to college only if safe to do so.
