A Cornish natural fashion brand has been nominated for a prestigious national award.
Celtic & Co has been shortlisted in the best carbon footprint initiative category for the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards.
The awards recognise the strides that are being made in reducing the fashion industry’s environmental impact and creating fairer working conditions across the supply chain.
Celtic & Co, based in Indian Queens, has been shortlisted for its end-to-end British wool knitwear range, which launched in its AW23 collection with three garments made entirely in the UK using British wool.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Hilton London Bankside today.
Zoe Bray, Celtic & Co managing director, said: “Our mission is to create beautiful, natural sustainable clothing and footwear that everyone can choose over synthetic fibres which are damaging to our environment.
“There are so many sustainable benefits to this range, including supporting British farming and manufacturing, to reducing carbon emissions due to the low mileage required to produce the product from field to factory, and then delivered into our warehouse in Cornwall for distribution.
“I’m really pleased the initiative has been recognised by industry experts as well as being loved by our own customers, and I look forward to seeing the range grow further in seasons to come.”
