MEMBERS of Truro Royal British Legion will hold a short service of commemoration on Tuesday, August 6, to remember those who were killed on that date in 1942 during three Nazi air raids.
More than 200 patients were being treated at the old Royal Infirmary Hospital when the south wing was destroyed by a 500kg bomb.
A second bomb exploded over Agar Road near St Paul's Church. A total of 14 people died, with a further 65 injured and more than 100 houses damaged.
All who wish to pay their respects are invited to muster in Victoria Gardens at 10.30am.
