THE Coastguard was called out to investigate a boat that was drifting along the Gannel Estuary on Tuesday morning.
Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team attended the incident at 9.45am and established nobody was onboard.

A spokesperson said: “After establishing there was no one onboard, no resulting pollution and no immediate risk to the public, the owner was located and notified.
“We would like to thank the public for their assistance with this incident.
“If you see something suspicious along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
