A free event involving firefighters from St Austell is being held at the town’s library later this week.

Children will have a chance to see a fire engine in the car park and adults will be able to ask the firefighters questions.

A spokesperson for the library said: “Green Watch from St Austell Fire Brigade will be at St Austell Library on Thursday, April 4, from 2pm.

“It’s a chance for children to look at the engine and for adults to ask fire safety-related questions.

“Please be aware that in the event of an emergency, the crew will have to leave at short notice.”
