A CELEBRATION has been held to mark the completion of an extension to a village hall costing more than £159,000.
An open event, attended by around 60 people, has taken place at Trewoon, near St Austell.
A spokesperson said: “After years of dedicated fundraising and tireless community efforts, Trewoon Village Hall has successfully completed its long-awaited extension, thanks to funding from government grants, the local council and the Good Growth Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Shared Prosperity Fund.
“The project aimed to expand the hall’s facilities to better serve a broader range of residents. To bring this vision to life, volunteers organised a variety of fundraising events. The generosity of the village hall community and wider parish also played a crucial role in reaching the funding target.”
