Alexandra's Community Care is launching launch an innovative Mobile Coffee Morning on Tuesday, August 6.
The idea sparked from the team’s BBQ event, held at the Penzance office in June, which featured a charity raffle (Dementia UK) as well as homemade cakes and treats.
The event was the first outing for many clients since the Covid pandemic due to mobility challenges, making it an especially meaningful occasion. The smiles and laughter shared that day demonstrated the profound impact of social gatherings on clients’ well-being.
As part of Mobile Coffee Morning, the Penzance team will be bringing chat, coffee and fun directly to the homes of their clients who struggle to get out.
“We understand that not all our clients could join us at our latest BBQ due to various constraints,” said Hannah James, manager of Alexandra’s Penzance office.
“Our Mobile Coffee Morning is our way of making sure all our clients feel included and have something fun to look forward to. We are committed to providing not just physical care but also emotional and social support to our clients.”
The morning will allow the team to visit every one of their clients, regardless of mobility challenges, so that they can experience the joy of community connection.
The Penzance teams’ dedication to holistic care hasn't gone unnoticed. In a recent inspection, Alexandra’s Penzance office received the highest rating in Cornwall, with the auditor particularly impressed by these community-focused initiatives.
“It's not just about providing physical care,” James adds. “It’s about nurturing the emotional and social needs of our clients. That's what truly makes a difference in their lives.”
As a leading home care provider in Cornwall, Alexandra's Community Care continues to set new standards in compassionate, innovative care. With five offices across the region, they're proving that sometimes, the best care comes with a side of coffee and conversation.
