TO mark the national celebration of community action called ‘Great Big Green Week’, Camborne Town Council is once again hosting ‘Green Fest’ on Saturday, June 8 (11am to 6pm) in Camborne Recreation Ground.

The very first ‘Green Fest’ took place last year and after the feedback from the local community about this free family event was overwhelmingly positive, the festival returns for a second outing.

This year the event is shaping up to be bigger and better with a larger music stage featuring local artists all afternoon including Cat Florence, Freshly Squeezed, Ex Presidents, Kid Ego and Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals.

There’ll be guest speakers, displays and stalls from 10 green charities and organisations, plus a wide range of kids activities from multiple providers, a ‘washed-up mermaid’ performer and festival food and drink from local catering outlets.

The festival is family friendly and entry is free for visitors to come along to enjoy the music, activities and food. Plus, it’s the ideal opportunity to find out more about the work of local organisations on sustainability, green issues and climate crisis action.
