Shops and businesses in Camborne will be firmly in the spotlight to celebrate Independents’ Day UK 2024 on July 6 to 7.

Independent retailers are at the heart of local communities and nowhere is that more apparent than in Camborne.

That’s why BID Camborne is backing the annual Independents’ Day campaign with a range of promotional activities. These include producing a list of activities in ‘Wasson Camborne’, sharing fun facts about individual independent enterprises and creating a video.

A giant version of Camborne’s popular town loyalty card will also be hidden in different shops throughout the weekend.

Shoppers are being asked to identify the location with a photograph that is then submitted into a draw. Two winners will be awarded £25 in shopping vouchers each – to be spent in a Camborne business of their choice.

“Camborne is fortunate to have an excellent selection of independent retailers that give our high street a very distinctive character,” said Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne manager.

“Whether you’re buying new clothes, finding something special for your home, buying a gift, treating your pet or indulging in some delicious pastries, Camborne is the place to visit.

“Our independent business owners are friendly and welcoming and will always go the extra mile to keep their customers happy.
