A WORKER based in Cornwall has been recognised with an award from the national trade body, the Property Care Association (PCA).

Technical specialist Alex White was named student of the year at the Property Care Awards after achieving the highest marks in the UK among PCA students training to become a certificated surveyor of Japanese knotweed.

Alex works at Southwest Knotweed which provides invasive weed surveys, removal and treatment.

PCA chief executive Sarah Garry said: “The awards showcase the best of the best in the sector and celebrate the work of both new and long-established members as well as shining a spotlight on the rising stars of the industry.
