Children’s Hospice South West has received a donation from a house builder.

The charity’s Little Harbour hospice in St Austell has received £1,000 from Persimmon Homes Cornwall and West Devon.

The donation is part of the builder’s Community Champions initiative, which donates up to £750,000 a year to good local causes and organisations across Great Britain.

The organisation supports families and provides hospice care including respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end-of-life care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

The donation will help the charity purchase new play equipment for its soft-play centre at Little Harbour.
