Emergency services descended on Mawgan Porth Beach after a suspected unexploded bomb was discovered on Monday morning.
Newquay Coastguard team were tasked to assist RNLI Lifeguards Newquay and Royal Navy Bomb Disposal whilst the object was investigated at about 10am.
The bomb disposal team confirmed it was not unexploded ordnance after thoroughly exposing and investigating the object.
A spokesman for Newquay Coastguard said: “Thank you to the lifeguards and the Navy EOD team for all their assistance.
“If you see something suspicious along the coast, don’t touch it, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
