A selection of 20 real ales, including five from international brewers, will take centre stage at Wetherspoon’s Try Dowr on Truro’s Lemon Quay during its 12-day beer festival, which starts today and runs until Sunday, October 20.
Customers will find several beers brewed specially for the festival and others not previously available at the pub, as well as vegan tipples and beers including a range of different malt and hop varieties - and even coffee and fruit - in their ingredients.
The international beers on offer will be Red Racer Session from Canada, Dinner Ale from New Zealand, Orihime Pale Ale from Japan, and Who Dat and All Dog Alert, both from the USA.
The festival line-up also includes craft ales from across England, Scotland and Wales, such as Born to be Mild (Conwy Brewery), Sapphire Spoon (Titanic Brewery, Stoke-on-Trent) and The Gloaming (Loch Lomond Brewery).
Beers will cost £1.99 a pint.Three third-of-a-pint tasters will also be available for the price of a pint.
