Applications are being invited from people wanting to start a pop-up shop, scale-up a business or to fill a commercial premise void in Camborne.
A last call has been sent out for interested parties to apply for a “small residue balance” of Project A-Void funding that is left.
More than £80,000 in grant funding was awarded to businesses in Camborne at the last Project A-Void panel meeting in February.
Managed by BID Camborne, the scheme is one of 11 projects awarded a total of £23.7m in Town Deal funding by the Government. Almost £507,000 of that was made available in Project A-Void Phase 2 – adding to the £262,000 awarded in the first phase.
BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe said: “We need to hear from local businesses wanting to use a grant for significant benefit as soon as possible as the absolute deadline for remaining Project A-Void funding is the end of March.
“We’re delighted that so many business improvements have been made with the grants awarded since the start of Town Deal funding. They’ve made a difference to the look and feel of the town centre, increased energy efficiency and changed working environments for the better.
“At a time when the cost of living is affecting everyone, it’s been a welcome and much-needed boost for Camborne.”
