An evening of soul-stirring performances is being staged in Camborne to raise money for charity.
The West Cornwall Concert Band are set to host The Grand Charity Concert at the Camborne Wesley Methodist Church in Chapel Street in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Monday, May 20, at 7.30pm.
The uplifting and heart-warming musical extravaganza will also include performances from Raise the Ruth Rock Choir and the Fourthought Saxophone Quarter.
Leanne Thomas from Macmillan Cancer Support said: “The idea for this wonderful event came about after a friend of the West Cornwall Concert Band was diagnosed with cancer.
“After receiving invaluable support from The Cove Macmillan Support Centre during their treatment, they approached the band about arranging a musical charity event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Without hesitation the band enthusiastically agreed.
“The event organisers are so passionate about their music and everyone involved are excited to showcase their incredible talents to the community, all joining together to help Macmillan continue to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.
“We want to say a huge thank you to the organisers and to all who are supporting and attending what will be a fantastic evening.”
