A LARGE supermarket in Newquay has shut for nearly two weeks whilst a store refurbishment is carried out.

Aldi in Cliff Road closed on Sunday, April 20, and is due to re-open again on Thursday, May 2, at 8am.

The makeover will include a new layout as well as new drainage being installed.

Fencing has been put around the entrance to the store whilst the refurbishment works are undertaken and the car park has been closed.

Many people were unaware that the refurbishment works were to be carried out and have turned up at Aldi expecting to do their shop but have been turned away.
