A driver has died following a road traffic accident near Hayle on Thursday.
A woman in her 30s from the Penzance area was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision on the A30 at Loggans at around 7:25pm despite the best efforts of responders.
The collision involved a Renault Clio, Renault Twingo and a Hyundai i20.
A man in his 20s from the Falmouth area driving the Clio sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.
The woman from the Penzance area who died was driving the Twingo. Her next of kin have been informed.
The two occupants of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries.
The road was closed overnight whilst an investigation was carried out at the scene. The road reopened on Friday (today) at around 7:15am today.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
