Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A39 near Truro.

Emergency services were called around 8.15pm on Tuesday (January 16) after a black Toyota Celica and a blue Hyundai i10 were in collision on Arch Hill between Kea and Truro.

The Toyota driver, a man in his 30s from Falmouth, sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 60s from Penryn, suffered minor injuries.

Officers closed the road for around five hours to investigate and clear the scene.

They are now appealing for witnesses to establish the cause of the incident. They would like to hear from anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
